BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥擳he Ruby C. Hunt YMCA will host its 28th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run on Thanksgiving morning, continuing a tradition that brings families together before the holiday festivities begin. 网曝吃瓜-Webb University serves as a community sponsor for this event, which combines fitness, fellowship, and philanthropy.

There are several opportunities to share in the fun, either as a participant or a volunteer. The 5K for adults begins on Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m. at the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center (LYCC) on the 网曝吃瓜-Webb campus, with a scenic route winding through the town of Boiling Springs. At 9 a.m., children can join in the excitement with a one-half mile Fun Run. For those who want to support the cause without running, a 鈥淧hantom Runner鈥 option is available.

More than just a race, the Turkey Trot is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. All proceeds benefit the YMCA鈥檚 We Build People Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to ensure that individuals and families in need have access to YMCA programs and services.
